Halloween time

What's the best thing about fall? Halloween time. Not because of the witches and all the bad traditions agains Christianity or Pagan sacrifices, but because its the time of the year that all kids (heck! all of us adults too) can can be kids.

It's the one day kids can let their imagination become closer to reality. It's when they can show to everyone their weird selves, and just pretend to be someone else. Everyone us us played "pretend" when kids: pretend to be a doctor, a princes, a knight, a dragon, a dog, and the list can go on and on.

My child has a vivid imagination. There's not a day when she does not say something as "I am sorry, I am not Sophia right now, I am a ___ (fill in the blank space with any animal, Disney princess, or any other profession you can think of)". And she is a great storyteller. She goes into her own world, play with her toys, repeats things that we told her during the day, entertains herself and develops her creativity even further.

Usually I am the mom that does not let her wear her Elsa dress, or Jasmine costume outside the house, but this week is the week where she can weird out as much as she want to, because is Halloween week. And we are taking advantage of every moment we can. We went to a Pumpkin Patch near us, with her dressed as a bumblebee. The kid couldn't be happier.

I still have not come up with any ideas for my halloween costume at work. But she sure has plenty of options right now.

♥ Enjoy!
