Today we are going to talk about how to make an animated GIF in Photoshop CS6. Adobe is always improving the creative suite so this might not work for older versions of the software.
Step 1: Create your file in the order you would like it to be, using layers. In the example I wanted a simple "I love you" animated GIF, so i just wrote each word in a different layer as you can see in the right side.
Step 2: Go to Window > Timeline to start animating your GIF.
Step 3: The timeline window will open, so click on the selection symbol

Step 4: Below each frame, select the time you wish to have the delays between frames. You will have to set it for each frame.
Step 5: Press the play button to preview.
Step 6: Now is time to save your file. Go in File > Save for Web and a new screen will appear:
Step 7: This is the screen that appears when clicking save for web. I use the settings showing in the following picture, but feel free to play around with them. If you click on Preview on the left bottom corner, your file will open in your browser. When you are finished, click on Save and voila!
♥ Enjoy!
